The Marvin Lewis Coach of the Year Award
is presented to the top high school football coach in the Tri-State area. Over 200 area schools may nominate a coach for this award. The winner is chosen based on their teaching skils, sportsmanship, dedication to players, and commitment to education. The award is handed out at the annual Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame Scholar-Athletes Banquet. The 2007 recipient was Kevin Siple of Indian Hill High School.

Cruisin' for a Cure is a Breast Cancer Awareness campaign that provides two 15-passenger pink vans to drive around the city and provide transportation for qualified women to and from mammograms and treatment. Along with MLCF, Cruisin' for a Cure is supported by with National City, Baker Concrete, McCluskey Chevrolet, the Cincinnati Bengals, Radio One, Kroger and the Cris Collinsworth ProScan foundation.

Hometown Huddle is a NFL/United Way initiative that takes place in every NFL market on the same day. The goal is to create a lasting impression in the community and promote volunteering. Past projects include a Pars Course at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, a univerally accessible treehouse in Mt. Airy Forest, and a playground at Seasongood Park.

Learning is Cool is an educational incentive program that rewards students for strong academic performance and is a partnership between the Marvin Lewis Community Fund and Cincinnati Public Schools. This program is designed to encourage all 19,486 1st-8th grade students in Cincinnati Public Schools to make the "A" honor roll each quarter. Students who make the "A" honor roll two quarters of the year will be invited to the Academic Achievement Party at Paul Brown Stadium.
Learning Is Cool

Marvin Lewis Coaching Clinicfeatures the Bengals coaching staff instructing nearly 250 youth, middle school and high school football coaches. The curriculum includes seven essential areas needed to properly train coaches in teaching the game to young people while running a successful and safe program in a positive learning environment.

The Marvin Lewis Scholarship Fund was created to recognize and honor outstanding male and female student athletes from our region on an annual basis. Candidates are evaluatted based on a 1,000 word essay, established criteria of a minimum 2.75 grade point average, a proven commitment to the community, need and a varsity letter. In 2008, thirteen student athletes were awarded four-year, $20,000 scholarships, raising the number of MLCF scholars to 28.

Play It Smart. The Marvin Lewis Community Fund is proud to support the NFL Play-it Smart Program. We have teamed up with the Cincinnati Public Schools and will be funding a Play-it Smart Academic Coach for Aiken High School with hopes to get Academic Coaches in more schools in years to come.

Youth Development Through Sports, launched in 2006, YDTS expands upon the Inner City Youth Football Collaborative (ICYFC). Using football as its medium, YDTS strives to build leadership and hope for Cincinnati youth while encouraging academic achievement and community involvement.
